What is Plaid?
Easy Money Tracking uses Plaid Technologies, Inc. to securely connect your financial accounts and retrieve limited transaction information that you authorize. Plaid is a trusted service used by thousands of financial apps to enable secure bank connections.
When you connect your bank through Plaid, your transactions are imported automatically for budget tracking. This lets you see your spending against budget categories in real-time.
What Data We Receive via Plaid
We DO receive: Transaction amounts, merchant names, categories, dates, and the name/type of the connected account.
We DO NOT receive: Account balances, bank usernames or passwords, routing numbers, account numbers, or sensitive authentication credentials.
Easy Money Tracking never sees or stores your banking credentials.
How We Use Plaid Data
- Display transactions in your dashboard
- Categorize your spending
- Generate budgeting summaries
- Improve your financial tracking experience
We do not sell or disclose Plaid data to external companies for marketing. We do not use Plaid data for credit checks, underwriting, advertising, or reselling.
Security
Plaid uses industry-leading security standards including end-to-end encryption, secure authentication flows, tokenization of sensitive information, and regular audits.
Disconnecting Your Accounts
You can disconnect your linked accounts at any time from your settings. When you disconnect, Plaid immediately stops sending new data. To request full deletion of previously imported data, email support@easymoneytracking.com.
